Inspired by her Romanian background, Venera Arapu graduated from ESMOD in 1998. Her signature style, combining post-modernity, natural confidence and femininity, was seen in her first major collection at Paris Fashion Week in 1999. She had the great opportunity to work closely with Alexander McQueen for Givenchy and was appointed to be part of the Creative Team for Paule Ka in Paris.
Venera Arapu launched her own fashion house under her name in 1999 after the great success at Paris Fashion Week. Collections now include women’s luxury, women’s ready-to-wear, home-wear, and kids.
With presence in luxury boutiques such as Le Bon Marché, Barney’s and Harvey Nichols, Venera Arapu is a brand with a truly global audience. Her collections are now distributed to fashion destinations in over 20 countries , including Japan, China, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, France, Italy and USA, to specialist boutiques, department stores, and online worldwide shipping through her own website, luisaviaroma and farfetch
For the Fall/Winter collection of 2012, the signature thread of Venera was perfectly combined with digital technology, starting a new era for the brand, Venera Arapu Original Prints, creating a statement to wear with garments that reflect our visual zeitgeist.
